Amin Daim - Experienced Assurance Professional

Based in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Amin Daim serves as a senior assurance associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on governance, risk and compliance (GRC) programmes for international banking organisations. At PwC, Amin Daim supports the implementation and enhancement of GRC systems, from requirement gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, and user training.

Mr. Daim has led work on key risk indicators and loss events within a GRC programme for a major international bank. He has also undertaken assurance work to validate material sustainability indicator figures used in ESG reporting. This experience informed a discussion he led with C-suite representatives from banks that had adopted ESG reporting, examining ways to improve consistency across the sector.

Before joining PwC, he completed an internship with PFK Littlejohn in London. There, he researched the financial environment and prospects of a niche market to support acquisition advisory work.

Mr. Daim graduated from Durham University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. His additional training includes Harvard Business School courses in Leading with Finance and Sustainable Business Strategy. Outside of his professional work, he has taken part in environmental conservation projects involving wildlife monitoring, reef conservation, forest mapping, and turtle nest monitoring.
